Pat passed away peacefully at her home Monday morning, February 12, 2024 at the age of 68. She was surrounded by family and her husband and soulmate of almost 49 years. Pat was a homemaker and a minister who loved talking about the Lord and taking care of all those she loved. She definitely fought a good fight, finished her course, and always kept her faith. No matter what she went through she kept a smile on her face and wanted to know how everyone else was doing in their life trials instead of focusing on her own trials. She was a resident of Livingston and a native of Port Allen. Visiting will be at the Chapel at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 8:30-10:00am with religious services to follow at 10:00am given by Bro. Troy Romig. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pat is survived by her spouse of nearly 49 years, Roger Sproles; two daughters, Amanda Schilling and husband Michael, and Jamie Sproles; six grandchildren, Jordan Schilling and wife Bri, Abby Sproles, Dylan Adams, Mckinna Sproles, Jayden Sproles, and Makaylyn Sproles; five great-grandchildren, Jase, Kylie, Cooper, and Kara Schilling, Jaxson Sproles and soon to be great-grandson Kohen Adams; three brothers, Tommy J. Peters Jr., Richard Peters, and Ronald Peters and companion, Jeanelle Vallet; and a special uncle, Charles “Ed” Greaud. Pat is preceded in death by her father, Tommy J. Peters Sr.; her mother, Mary “Deet” Greaud Peters; and a special aunt, Betty Hoyt Greaud. Pallbearers will be Dylan Adams, Jordan Schilling, Michael Schilling, Jayden Sproles, Ronald Peters, Richard Peters and honorary pallbearers will be Robert “Con” Greaud and Michael McDempsy. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Iqbal and the nursing staff at Oshner Medical Center on Oneal Lane in Baton Rouge and the staff at Clarity Hospice for all of their compassion and care over the last month, a special thank you to Bro Troy Romig and Bro Ray McDonald and their congregations for all the prayers and support and a very personal thank you to Pat’s lifelong bestie and prayer partner, Mary Bagwell, for always being there during every obstacle with love, support and prayer.
