

Paul Richard Lancaster, 86, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2016 at St. James Place in Baton Rouge, LA surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Buffalo, NY on July 7, 1930. He joined the Navy in 1948 serving aboard the USS Roanoke and USS Missouri. After graduating from Canisius College with a degree in Accounting, he became a Special Agent with the FBI in 1956. He met the love of his life, Noelle Payne, and they married in 1956. Paul and Noelle were transferred to Chicago, IL, New Orleans, LA and then Alexandria, LA, where they lived for 40 years, and he was the Senior Resident Agent. He will be remembered for his service to his country and community, the care he gave to those in need, and the comfort he provided to the lonely. Paul's family meant the world to him, and he and Noelle provided a strong Christian upbringing for their children and grandchildren and created a lifetime of memories that will always be cherished. Paul's favorite hobbies included traveling with his Airstream trailer, working on his property at Indian Creek and most of all, sharing these adventures with his family. Paul is survived by his wife and best friend, Noelle, and their three children: Holly Lancaster Leonard and husband Charles, Joy Lancaster Williford, and Paul R. Lancaster, Jr., and wife Polli. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Christina Leonard Landreneau and husband Ellis, Nicholas Leonard, Kayla Williford Mehn and husband Stephen and Jacob K. Williford and wife Jenna, Dustin Lancaster, Dylan Lancaster, and Trentan Lancaster, and two great grandchildren Maggie Elizabeth Williford and Amelia Noelle Landreneau. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on July 12, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. George Cemetery. Paul made this country a better place and provided an unparalleled upbringing for his family. "Well done, my good and faithful servant." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Paul be honored with memorials to The Hospice of Baton Rouge, 9063 Siegen Lane, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
