
Peggy Elizabeth Lewis Lewis, 58, loving mother of five, wife, daughter, and friend, ascended to Heaven on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011. She is now free of the pain and suffering of the cancer that plagued her body and is in the almighty hands of God. Peggy's passion and love for life and incredibly uplifting spirit was an inspiration and source of strength to all of those who love her. Her children will carry on her constant message to "Make it a great day!" Peggy is reunited with lost loved ones in heaven, her father, Frank Edward Lewis; and brother, Frank Edward Lewis II. Peggy is survived by her mother, Margaret Drury Lewis Sternberger; husband, Arthur Cullen "Bubba" Lewis III; sons, Arthur Cullen IV and Eric Cameron; daughters, Caroline Lindsay, Katharine Chandler and Elizabeth Whitney; and numerous loving relatives. Thank you to all of her loving friends who supported her throughout her life and were her "rock and shining light" during her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, and to all of her doctors and nurses at M.D. Anderson, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, and Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. James Episcopal Church on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Roman Roldan. Peggy will be laid to rest at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Thursday, Dec. 8.
