Richard Darryl Alexander, age 77, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A native of St. Amant, LA, Darryl graduated Valedictorian from St. Amant High School, class of '62. He attended LSU, where he was a member of the Golden Band from Tigerland and ROTC. He graduated with a degree in Business and began his career in the Air Force. During his time in the military, he started a family and traveled the world. After twenty years of service, he retired from the Air Force as a Major and began working in the private sector for an additional twenty years. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge where he was a Lector and member of the choir. Darryl is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Louise Alexander, and survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rebecca. He will be deeply missed by his children Aaron and Katey Alexander, Dustin and Celeste Alexander, and Matthew and Lauren Geraci, along with his grandchildren Kate, Annie, Molly, Jack, Avery, Ethan, Reese, Jude, and Elise. Darryl was a wonderful loving husband, a kind and supportive father, and warm-hearted friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was honest, loyal, and trustworthy. Darryl's Memorial service will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 445 Marquette Avenue, Baton Rouge.
