
Richard Daniel Tilley died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church, Louisiana Photographic Society and Baton Rouge Hiking Club. He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 490. He graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School class of 1991 and attended Louisiana Tech. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Feb. 12, was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ron Lambe, associate pastor of Istrouma Baptist Church, will lead the service and give the eulogy and the Rev. Tom Ranizino, pastor of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, will give a homily. He was born Feb. 23, 1972, and is survived by his father, Lowell Tilley, mother, Joan Dugas Tilley, two brothers, Steven and Michael Tilley, and sister, Patricia Tilley, all of Baton Rouge; uncles and aunts, David and Janis Dugas, of Gonzales, Raymond and Janet Dugas, of Baton Rouge, Paul James and Janice Dugas, of Metairie, Carl and Ann Dugas, of Covington, Elton Tilley, of Alabama, Leonard and Marilyn Akins, of Alabama, and Curtis and Rebekah Bice, of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and grandmothers, David and Mary Dugas, who were of New Orleans, and James Dempsey and Bessie Tilley, who were of Alabama.
