

Bobby Keyton, 66, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA. Bobby was a resident of Baton Rouge for 28 years. Bobby had been disabled from a car accident in 1986. He died from recent complications of pneumonia. He was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, CO, his birthplace where he spent his youth. He served in the U.S. Army and had a tour in Vietnam. Bobby also worked as a civilian for a time on the Dredge Wheeler and on the Mississippi River for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. He loved working offshore, cooking and reading the funny papers. Bobby had a positive attitude, a gentle soul and was very sweet man. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Paula Beach Keyton; sisters, Sheryl Benzen (Wayne) of Denver, CO and Carrie Smith (Al) of Caddo Mills, TX; brother, Eddie Keyton (Faye) of Palatka, FL; and many other dear, loving relatives. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Betty Keyton; and brother, Mike. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 12:00PM (noon) until the time of funeral service at 2:00PM.
