

Langlois, Ronald James"I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith! A devoted and beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, he was born September 29, 1946, in Baton Rouge to Edison and Verna Langlois. He rose to new life in Jesus' loving arms on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. He was a 1964 graduate of Istrouma High and attended Florida State University. As a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, he served from January 28, 1965, to January 28, 1969, with many commendations and honorably discharged as a Staff Sargeant from the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He returned to Baton Rouge where he was employed as a TEL plant processor at Ethyl Corporation. He was a dedicated youth director for ten years at Airline Christian Assembly. During his many years of devoted service to the Lord he taught Children's Church, the Adult Sunday School class and served on the Board of Directors at Baton Rouge Christian Center. He is survived by his wife of 461/2 years, Kathy Morrow Langlois, a brother Edison "Butch" Langlois and wife Frieda Turpin Langlois, a sister Brenda Langlois Glotz and husband Alvin J. Glotz, foster brother Rusty Diaz, in-laws Linda and Emmanuel Bourgeois, Mike and Carolyn Morrow, Nelda and Bill Strait, dear family friend Lynn Henessy, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of "church friends" too numerous to list, who were like family and whom he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Patsy Lee Langlois. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Hector Mena for over 30 years of caring devotion during his battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis; as well as Dr. Ronnie Mathews, Dr. Charles Williamson, Dr. Brett Williamson, Dr. Chris McCanless, Dr. Joseph Deumite, Dr. William Helmke, Dr. Rigby, Dr. Virginia Bringaze, Dr. Jonathan Taylor and Dr. Robin Shannon. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 12:00 p.m. until religious services at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, conducted by Rev. Ron Turner and Rev. Richard Holland. Military Honors will be provided by the Keesler Air Force Base Honor Guard. "I am the Resurrection and the Life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die." John 11:25, 26. As a media church member of Family Worship Center, he asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sonlife Broadcasting Network Share-a-thon or Bible-thon, 768-3401, to help spread the Gospel around the world that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. John 14:6.
