Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.” II Timothy 4:7-8 Roy Allen Schnebelen, Jr., a native of Plaquemine and resident of Central, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet at the age of 71. Roy was a home builder with his father at Schnebelen Homes and retired as a Construction Superintendent in Exxon. He loved life and spending time with his family and friends and fishing. His favorite saying was “Everything is peachy!” Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Torrance Schnebelen, his parents, Roy A. Schnebelen, Sr. and Ruby Joffrion Schnebelen; brother-in-law, Jack Torrance, Jr. Roy is survived by his children, Roy Allen Schnebelen, III; daughters, Rhonda Monson (husband Sammy), and Cathy Ann Schnebelen; a sister, Pat DeLaune (brother-in-law Steve); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Steve DeLaune, Sr., Jeff Torrance, Jerry Torrance, Steve DeLaune, Jr., William David Rowell, Jr., Sammy Monson, Jr,, Roy A. Schnebelen, IV, and Hunter Monson. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm. conducted by Father Frank Bass. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
