A loving family man and a loyal friend, he passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at his home in Jarreau at age 69. He was a retired electrician from Local 995 and a devoted member of the False River Lions Club. Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, July 14, from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Sandy O'Connor Carpenter; two daughters, Pam Hebert and husband Mike Hebert, and Paula Quebedeaux and husband Donnie Quebedeaux; a stepson, Kelly O'Connor and wife Kristy O'Connor; four grandchildren, Michael Falcon, Carol and Billy Bower, and Hannah O'Connor; a brother, Carroll Wayne Carpenter and wife Glenda O'Connor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Polly Carpenter; and a brother, Raymond Lionel Carpenter.
