

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Ryan Simon, who left us suddenly on January 6, 2025, at the age of 28. Ryan was a beloved son, fiancé, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many, whose vibrant spirit and kind heart touched all who knew him.
Ryan was born on October 14, 1996, in Baton Rouge, LA, and grew up surrounded by a close-knit family made up of relatives and friends who cherish every moment shared with him. Ryan’s bright smile, intellectual energy, witty and fun sense of humor and willingness to help others made him stand out in every room. He had an innate ability to connect with people, enjoyed life to the fullest and truly valued his relationships with family and friends.
Ryan’s time in this world had an undeniable impact. Whether through his work, his hobbies, or his friendships, he always gave of himself with generosity and warmth. His passion for LSU sports, traveling to the beach, information technology, and spending time with his beloved fiancé Dominique was a testament to his boundless enthusiasm and the joy he found in sharing life’s moments with those he loved.
Ryan was preceding in death by his father, Larry Simon,Jr., his grandfathers, Chaytor Ryan and Larry Simon, Sr. Ryan is survived by his loving family members. His mom, Laura Simon, his fiancé, Dominique Drago, his brother Trey Simon (wife Lauren), his grandmothers, Ginger Simon and Bunnie Ryan, and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever remember his kind and giving heart, his infectious laughter, and the love he shared.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Ryan’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of his life will be held at Greenoaks Funeral home on Friday, January 10, 2024, with visitation starting at 12:00pm.
Ryan’s loss leaves a void that will never be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire us all. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace, and we will carry his memory with us always.
Rest in peace, Ryan. We love you so much. You will forever be remembered and missed.
