

Salvador Anthony Boemia, Jr., 80, of Baton Rouge peacefully joined his God in heaven on January 27, 2016. Family was his heart. He never hugged you goodbye without saying, "I love you." It was that love that brought him to his wife, Judy. Not only did he want her as his bride, 47 years ago, but he embraced her four children as his own. In total, they became the parents of eight. Earlier in life he served as a U.S. Army Sgt., stationed in Germany, 92nd Artillery. Until his death, he was a hair stylist and antique dealer. He is survived by his wife Judy Arbertin Boemia, children: Kim&Jeff Miller, Kar&David Gary, Dean&Laura Burks, Dale&Sonja Burks, Salvador III&Robin Boemia , Tammy&Tony Lightfoot, Matthew&Heather Boemia and Shawn&Crystal Boemia; grandchildren: Dustin&Meagan Miller, Brittany Miller, Sarah&Donald Quintana, Emily Gary&Cole Barton, Michael&Abbey Burks, Michelle Burks, Nicholas&Mitchell Burks, Tony&Timmy Boemia, Chris&Spencer Lightfoot, Maddison Boemia, Keegan&Karley Boemia; great-grandchildren: Kate Miller, Kayden&Braylin Quintana; sister: Mary Joy Boemia Richard. He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador Anthony Boemia Sr., and Emily Sandras Boemia and brother Louis Boemia. A memorial service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East at 6 p.m. on January 29, 2016. Visitation is from 5 - 8 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Hospital.
