Sara "Kathy" Kathleen Henderson

Sara “Kathy” Kathleen Henderson, age 75, passed away on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. She was the loving wife to Ralph “Eddie” Henderson for the past 56 years. Born in Baton Rouge, LA. to her parents, the late Maxine D’Abadie Morgan and Jack Evans, Sr. Sara was the devoted mother to Dana Lapeyrouse (Jay), Merry Antoon (Trey), Amanda Joyner (the late Frank Joyner) and her son, the late Jeffrey Henderson. She was the sister of Margaret Morgan, Curtis Morgan (Susan) and the late Jack Evans, Jr. Sister-in-law of Beverly Ory (the late Richie) and the late Katy Bynum (John). Sara was the loving grandmother of Alayna, Adam, Reagan, Bailey and Sydney. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Norma and Lamar Henderson and the late Neva Henderson. Aunt of Tiffany, Angie, Kate, Ben, Tanisha, Christian, Tracy, Tripp, Shelley and Deacon, along with a host of cousins and friends. Sara treasured her time with her dog, Mel (The Brat Terrier), as she had a passion for animals. In her spare time Sara enjoyed cooking, fishing, going to the beach, taking car rides with her husband Eddie, arranging flowers and most of all, caring for others.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Dr. Daniel LaVie, the 6th floor oncology team at Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet, The Crossing at Clarity Hospice and their amazing neighbors, Vickie & Bill Tompley.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will be held at a later date.
