A resident of Baton Rouge and the Plains for more than 60 years, she passed away on Monday, May 7, 2007, at Lakewood Quarters. She was 82. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, May 10, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Reggie Bridges. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her three children, Willis G. Adams and his wife, Jyl, of Gigharbor Wash., Robert Edward Adams of Baker, and Sally A. Flowers of the Plains; six grandchildren, Brogan, Raine, Dustin and Brooke Adams, Jodie Flowers Santora and Jason Flowers; and two great-grandchildren, Nico Santora and Sierra Adams. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Roscoe Wilson Adams; parents, Parkie Leigh and Roscoe Conklin Nelson; and two sisters, Elizabeth Caroline Nelson and Parkie Leigh Sherrill. Serving as pallbearers will be Willis, Robert and Dustin Adams, Adrian Kelleher, Robert Culver and Brian Williams. She was a member of Zachary Baptist Church and the Old Friend Luncheon Group for more than 40 years.
