Scott J Porter, age 63, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. Scott was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was a long time resident of Baton Rouge. He was a Vibration Analyst for Allied Reliability, Inc. and previously was a Residential Builder. Scott had a passion for the outdoors and especially loved his time at Lake Verret hunting and fishing. Music was another passion; especially the guitar. Scott was devoted to his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Scott is survived by his parents, William Porter of Las Vegas, NV and Donna Porter of Baton Rouge; his long time partner, Anne Gooch of Pinckney, Michigan; his sister, Lisa Reifert (Fredrick); his nephew Eric and niece Mary, all from Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Scott is preceded in death by his twin brother, Ross Porter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Saturday, February 10th at First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will begin at 10AM with Service to follow at 11AM.
