Scott "Spanky" Joseph Rachal

Loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, and nephew, Scott Rachal, age 39, passed away from the eternal life to his eternal home on October 8, 2015 of complications after surgery. Scott was a resident of Denham Springs, La., a 1993 graduate of False River Academy, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved going to the hunting camp, cooking little suppers with his family, brother, friends and especially his uncle, Clarence. He was always friendly, and never met a stranger. Survived by his mother Susan Desselle Rachal of Denham Springs, LA, father Charlie Rachal of Big Bend, LA (Kathy); sister Stephanie Rachal of Walker, LA, brother Kevin (Cooney) Rachal of Walker, La., along with his pride and joy niece Kayla Rachal and nephew Ethan Rachal, that meant the world to him; and his two special fur babies Gypsy and Bandit; maternal grandparents James and Cecile Desselle and numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfather Paul Rachal Jr., grandmother Delores Rachal Hohensee; aunt Tammy Rachal, aunt Paula Donaghey; cousin Dominic Donaghey; uncle Michael Rachal. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Sunday October 11, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with the rosary beginning at 6pm and a memorial service to follow. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 12, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bordelonville, La. from 9:00am till 12:00am. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Church cemetery.
