

Shirley Ann Nunnally Hogan, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. passed away on December 26th, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Whitton, AR, Shirley is survived by her sons Ronald (Kathleen) Hogan of San Antonio, TX and Donald Hogan (Jerri) of Baton Rouge, LA; grandsons Christopher (Hyde) Hogan, Drew (Kristen) Hogan, and Jeffrey Higgs; great-grandchildren Addison Hogan, Kit Hogan and Dani Hogan; and a host of dear nieces and nephews. Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, and her beloved daughter Kathryn Ann Hogan Higgs.
Shirley grew up on her family farm in Whitton, AR with her mother and 3 siblings. Upon graduation from Wilson High School, she and her best friend, that also beared her name, moved to Memphis, TN where they attended secretary school. Shirley moved to the Baton Rouge area with her family in 1971 and attended Broadmoor United Methodist Church, remaining a member until her passing. Shirley was the Manager of Baton Rouge Police Supplies for 34 years, working up to her most recent illness. She was beloved by many customers and members of the law enforcement community in the State of Louisiana.
Shirley loved to paint and was a sought-after instructor for both toll and oil painting classes in the area. Her art consisted of the things she loved: old farmhouses, barns, birds, wildlife native to Louisiana, and her favorite of all, magnolias. Shirley learned to play piano in the Methodist Church in Whitton, AR and enjoyed playing throughout her life.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation that will be held on the evening of Sunday, January 4th, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Greenoaks Funeral Home, located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 and will continue on Monday morning, January 5th, 2026, at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr, Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. The funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., 70815.
Pallbearers will be: Drew Hogan, Christopher Hogan, Jeffrey Higgs, Donald Dawsey, Stephen Walz and Ed Williams.
