Siri Kilcrease Pizzolato passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 70. Siri was born on June 1, 1955, in Edmonton Alberta Canada where her father was employed as an ironworker. She grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, and attended Istrouma High, and graduated in 1973. She met the love of her life, Joey Pizzolato, and they were married in August 1974. Siri and Joey lived in Baton Rouge their entire married life and welcomed 2 children, Cassie in 1975 and Joey, Jr. in 1979. She spent the rest of her time here on earth being the most loyal and devoted wife and mother while also working for the family business as the bookkeeper. Siri donated much of her time to St. Gerard elementary school where her children attended. Most days you could see her on campus helping out in various ways. She did everything with her whole heart and had a creative mind. If there was something that anyone needed, she was the first person to volunteer and help while also juggling her job and household family duties. Even though she only had 2 children, there are many people who would say she was their 2nd mom. She never met a stranger, and she extended her love and kindness to everyone she met. She served as a cheerleading moderator at Redemptorist High School during the time Cassie and Joey attended there. She shared her love of animals with her family and became a sort of animal whisperer through the years taking in many rescue or stray animals. At one point, she had a cat, a dog, a bird, and a squirrel all living in her home. Siri and Joey maintained a love that was truly unbreakable and withstood a lot of heartache after losing their son in 2014. She fell ill with a debilitating neurological illness shortly thereafter and lived 11 years struggling with it. Siri had the best caretakers 24/7 for the last 11 years of her life. Of course, she had the unconditional love and support of her husband, Joey, but also dedicated angels on earth who took immaculate care of her in their home where she could remain with her dog Doolittle. Words will never express the appreciation our family has for these caregiver givers. Sonja, Robin, Roxane, and Sarah have all been the biggest blessing and will always be remembered for how well they took care of her. Aida Richey, who was like another daughter to her, cared for Siri in the early years of her illness before moving out of state, but never far from Siri’s heart. Thank you, Aida, for all you have done for both Joey, Jr. and Siri over the years. Aside from her children and husband, her biggest blessings were her grandchildren. Her first grandson Jake was born in 2002, and she was over the moon. Max followed in 2006 bringing even more joy to her life. Siri gained 2 bonus grandchildren in 2014, Clayte and Collin, and later welcomed her only granddaughter Sadie in 2015. Siri lit up when she saw her grandchildren, you could see the twinkle in her eyes. Siri is now celebrating in heaven with her son and all the family she loved so much. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joey Pizzolato, Sr.; daughter, Cassie Blanchard (Joey); grandchildren, Jake and Max Wyble, Sadie, Clayte, and Collin Blanchard; brother, Steven Kilcrease; and a host of other loving family members and friends. Siri is preceded in death by her son, Joey Pizzolato, Jr.; parents, Henry and Emily Kilcrease; infant sister, Linda Kilcrease; brother, Michael Kilcrease, Sr.; nephew, Mikey Pizzolato; in-laws, Tony and Mary Lee Pizzolato; and brother-in-law, Cliff Pizzolato. Visitation will be at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Rd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 10:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Sonja Davis, Robin Trahan, Roxane Roth, and Sarah Boudreau, for their wonderful loving care for the past 11 years. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.greenoaksfunerals.com
