

Nathan Craig “Skip” Johnson, a native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away at the age of 79 in Baton Rouge. Skip served in the Army National Guard. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School and attended Louisiana State University. He was an avid golfer for the majority of his life. Skip loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved his Lord Jesus and loved to share His good news of love and grace. Skip is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynda Anderson Johnson of Baton Rouge; daughter and son-in-law, Angie Johnson Hartsburg and Kevin Hartsburg of Highland Village, TX; daughter, Natalie Johnson of Baton Rouge; and son, Craig Johnson of Frisco, TX. He is also survived by his grandson, Caden Hartsburg; five granddaughters: Marie Hartsburg-Rosado, Paige Hartsburg, Kennan Johnson, Savannah Johnson, and Kinleigh Johnson; as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Mark Allen Johnson and “Suzie” Weatherford Johnson of Montgomery, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Humphrey Johnson and Norma Russell Johnson; and his brother, Willard “Butch” Johnson. Private family services were held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, led by Pastor Frank Friedman.
