Suzanne Twidwell Turner

A loving sister, daughter, and aunt, Suzanne Twidwell Turner, was called to rest on Monday, September 7, 2015. She was born in Granite City, Illinois on November 19, 1949 and was a resident of Prairieville, LA passed away at the age of 65. Suzanne is survived by her sister, Janell A. Arnold and husband Chuck; brothers, Phillip Charles Twidwell and wife, Robin and Robert Joseph Wright; nieces, Jill Corrente’ and husband Troy and Shannon Marie Ritter; her special angel and dearest friend Sharon Twidwell Grimes and husband Thomas Grimes; and dear friend, Carol Morgan. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles P. Twidwell; mother, Frances J. Wright; brothers, Denis L. Twidwell and Gary E. Twidwell; and niece, Kristine N. Ritter. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Greenoaks Funeral Home beginning at 6pm until Memorial Service at 7:30pm. Suzanne’s battle with CMT inspired her to become a devoted advocate for raising CMT awareness. Suzanne was a selfless fighter who had a passion for photography and helping others, as she reached out and touched the lives of many who were facing the impact of this life altering disease. Suzanne was a devoted employee for the state of Louisiana as an auditor for the Department of Revenue where she retired after 32 years on September 29, 2012.
