
Died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, as the result of a logging accident. He was born April 19, 1943, in Baton Rouge. He graduated from Istrouma High School and continued his education at Southeastern Louisiana College where he earned his degree. He was a safety engineer for 24 years at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. before managing the Loss Prevention Department at LWCC. After retiring, he started his own business, ClearWater Waste Systems, where he thrived. A man of many talents, he was an avid woodworker, hunter and friend to many. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, June 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Francisville, on Monday, June 13, from 1 p.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Jodi Hamilton Campbell and husband Barry Campbell, of Baton Rouge, and Brandie Hamilton Olsen and husband Thomas "Tiger" Olsen, of St Francisville; two grandsons, Adam Stephen Rowe and Wyatt Hamilton Olsen; a granddaughter, Emma Claire Olsen; and two sisters, JoAnn Hamilton Davis and husband Mark Davis, of New York, and Ginger Hamilton Speer and husband Ken Speer, of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore B. Hamilton Sr. and Etta Flynn Hamilton; brothers, Douglas Flynn Hamilton, Donald Howell Hamilton and Ronald Howell Hamilton; nephew, Jason Brian Hamilton; and niece, Tracy Elizabeth Hamilton. Pallbearers will be Johnny Bowen, Barry Campbell, Zeke Nola, Thomas "Tiger" Olsen, Matthew Speer and Phillip Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Davis, Barry Glover and Ken Speer. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Baton Rouge, Hurd Merrill Masonic Lodge, Livingston, and the National Guard. A special thanks to Dr. Chip Tregle at Lane Regional Medical Center and the Our Lady of the Lake Trauma Team.
