A loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, September 29 2013 at the age of 95. He was a member of Goodwood Blvd. Church of Christ and served in the 82nd Airborne during World War II. He retired from Breeden Tractor Company after 31 years. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks on Wedensday, October 2, 2013, from 1:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Derlyne Booker Kent; daughter, Mary Jane Hill and husband, Richard; son, Tommy Kent and wife, Cathy; sister, Mary Ethel Grainier; three grandsons, Tommy Kent and wife, Darlene, Mike Kent and wife, Ashley and Lance Kent; and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Lea and Jane Andrews Kent; sister Elma Thomas; three baby brothers.
