God wrapped his loving arms around our good son Thomas Christopher Kleinpeter on November 19, 2025. Though 19 short years on Earth, Thomas was our “gentle giant” and walked his life with unending love and kindness for all. His indiscriminate warmth and compassion for people – no matter their age, background, or health - was truly exemplary.
Blind to his many God-given gifts, Thomas was a visual mathematician who could draw in perspective beginning in preschool, and by age 6, developed a hobby for building elaborate Lego structures without using directions. His art portfolio of 16 years would mesmerize even the most discerning eye.
Furthermore, Thomas’ athleticism shined from the time he threw a spiral at age 3. Basketball and golf were his true passions, but humbly, he could play anything, especially if it meant hanging out with friends. Thomas wrote his first original song on the piano at age 8, later turning his love of music into an encyclopedic-like collection of playlists across all genres. He could light up a room or a dance floor, just the same. And though he could slay deer and ducks like a quintessential Louisiana sportsman, he had a tender heart and smile as big as his 6’3” stature.
Thomas deeply adored his friends and family, and they adored him. Thomas attended St. George Catholic School, graduated from Catholic High School in 2023, and was attending LA Tech in Ruston, LA. His 19 years on Earth will be remembered and treasured; the world was a better place with Thomas in it.
We love you and are so proud of you, Tom Cat. The peace of our loving God is with you always.
Thomas is survived by his mother Nicole Boudreaux Marks and her husband Rowan Spencer Marks of Baton Rouge; father Shawn Christopher Kleinpeter and his wife D’Wana Kleinpeter of Baton Rouge; grandparents Lynn Labbe’ Boudreaux and Thomas and Eileen Kleinpeter; step grandparents Nat and Ronnie Marks; sister Camille Julie Kleinpeter (20) ; step sisters Sloane Allison Marks (15) and Sarah Chiles (25); and step brothers Rowan Spencer Marks, Jr (13) and Ben Chiles (27). He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Boudreaux of Baton Rouge.
Memorial services will be held at St. George Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. and a funeral mass held at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that stories and memories of Thomas be shared via this obituary page online, or emailed to [email protected].
