Tommy Gleason, age 72, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, born 09/02/1950 in Jonesboro Louisiana, peacefully passed away on 01/08/2023. Tommy spent most of his career at Georgia Gulf Chemical, working his way up from an Operator, until his retirement after 33 years as the Production Unit Manager in the Phenol plant. He cherished the relationships he built along the way. Not ready to give up working just yet, he spent 3 years as the Safety Manager at Sprint Waste before fully retiring in 2019. Tommy also spent many years as a volunteer fireman at the St. George Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, Tommy loved to hunt and fish and helped build a love of the outdoors in his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted LSU fan and could often be found in his favorite chair, watching the Tigers. He was forever proud of his family’s military connections and their service to our country. Tommy is survived by his wife of 29 Years, Marian Doiron Gleason of Baton Rouge, LA, his children, Matt Gleason (Melissa) of Clifton Park,NY, Aaron Scott (Jessica) of Baton Rouge, LA, Jamee Scott Lemmler (Philip) of Central, LA and Marc Gleason (Addison) of Baton Rouge, LA. His brother, Jimmy Gleason (Becky) of Ruston, LA, sister, Karen Frazier (Jim) of Longview, TX , grandchildren, Drake Lemmler, Scott Lemmler and Victoria Lemmler of Central, LA, Bree Gleason and Jaden Gleason of Clifton Park, NY, Silas Gleason of Baton Rouge, LA and great grandchild Luke Lemmler of Addis, LA. He is preceded in death by his Father, James Gleason, mother, Norma Gleason, and brother, Jimmy Stewart. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Downtown, 825 Government St, Saturday January 14, 2023 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Celebration of life to follow at noon.
