Victoria Ragusa Melancon

Victoria Ragusa Melancon, age 101, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, surrounded by her family. She enjoyed watching sports and spending time with her family. Victoria is survived by her daughters, Janet Parent and Patricia Sonnier (Jim); granddaughters, Melissa McCrory (Dax), Jennifer Pizani (Mark), and Michelle Temple (Robert); great-grandchildren, Morgan Stapler (Cole), Connor McCrory (Storm), Trevor Pizani, and Addison and Avery Temple; and great-great-grandchildren, Wes and Lainey Stapler and Spencer McCrory. The family would also like to acknowledge longtime family friend, Paula Alford, for her love and support. Victoria is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Charles “Pete” Melancon Sr.; son Charles “Coyote” Melancon Jr.; and son-in-law, Richard Parent. Visitation will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:15am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dax McCrory, Mark Pizani, Robert Temple, Cole Stapler, Connor McCrory, and Trevor Pizani.
