
A native of Breaux Bridge, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born on November 19, 1944 to the late Carmie Lee White and Lily Halphen White. He enjoyed cooking, referring to himself as an "Amateur Chef", fishing at his camp in Grand Isle, and watching all LSU sports. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha White. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Doris Kay White; and by his sons Wayne L. White, Jr. and William L. White and his fiancé, Mallory Tatum; his sister, Judy Davis and her husband Tommy; and brothers in law and their spouses: James and Mary Rolfs and Emile (III) and Susan Rolfs. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his faithful dogs, Duke and Trey. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, on Friday evening, September 18, 2015 from 4:30 until 7:30. Visitation will resume on Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2215 Main St, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
