A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was a resident of Baker and native of Romeville, La, he passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The Carpenter House at the age of 96. Willard is survived by his daughter, Barbara Rome; sons, Willard J. Rome, Jr., and wife Effie and Wade J. Rome and wife My-Anette; grandchildren, Jayson Rome, Maria Johnson, and Constance Lauvray; step grandchildren, Jennie, Brad, and Stacey; special grandson, Tracey Lauvray; great-great grandchildren, Madison, Connor, Baylor, and Ethan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Ella McLain Rome; parents, Sydney and Alita Rome; one sister; and two brothers. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
