A retired Uniroyal employee and a resident of Denham Springs, he died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Promise Hospital in Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge. He was 94, born June 6, 1914, in Paragould, Ark. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside service at Augusta Memorial Park, Augusta, Ark., on Tuesday, July 1, at 11 a.m., under the direction of Rhodes Funeral Home of Augusta. Grayson is survived by his nieces, Barbara B. Caputa, of Baton Rouge, and Jennie Lynn Holmes, of Bay, Ark.; nephew, Alva Branch Jr., of Baton Rouge; numerous other nieces and nephews; and his neighbors, Robert and Nita Kimble. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Bonner Kittrell Branch; parents, Joseph S. Branch and Sara Frances Thomason Branch, who were of Paragould; two sisters, Lois Magnolia Jobe and Bernice Newberry; and four brothers, Hillary, Jeff, Shirl and Alva Branch. Grayson served in the U.S. Army at Cold Bay, Alaska, then Germany in the 7th Armored Division from Oct. 7, 1941, to Oct. 18, 1945.
