
William D. "Derry" Browning a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Central passed away Saturday April 21, 2012 at the ago of 74. Mr. Browning was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired electrician with IBEW Local 995. Visiting will be at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Pride, La. on Monday April 23, 2012 from 9am until funeral services at 11am conducted by Rev. Jerry Potts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Derry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda F. Browning, one daughter, Dana Browning Graham, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and wife Felicia, five grandchildren, Lance, Lathan, and Landon Browning, Travis and Emily Graham, four brothers, Vernon Ray, Bobby, Charles, and Roger, and six sisters, Dorothy, Lois, Joyce, Meryl, Aline and Mildred. He was preceded in death by, his grandson, Logan Browning, parents, Willie H. and Cibell Browning, a brother, Edward Browning. Pallbearers will be Lance, Lathan. Landon, and Michael Browning, Teresa Whaley and Tyler Peterson. Mr. Browning loved the outdoors, his tractors and farming and sharing the bounty of his garden with others. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to your charity of choice.
