Wilson Evans Howell

Wilson Evans Howell a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Central, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Carpenter House at the age of 51. Wil was a committed husband, father, son, brother and a trusted friend to many. His faith in God put him in the path of many people who relied on his strength and wise counsel. Wil was a gifted self- employed cabinet maker. He and his work will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Woodrow Howell. Wil is survived by his wife Sonja Parrish Howell; his son Jonah Blake Howell; mother, Elva Howell; sister Cristy and husband Gary Hayes, their sons Alex and Matthew; sister Wendy and husband Jamie Freeman; grandfather, Cecil C. Hubbard. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6pm-9pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 11am until funeral service begins at 12pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A reception will follow the burial at Greenoaks Reception Center. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chase Bank in an account for Sonja Howell. This account will be used for their son's future education.
