Hector Enrique Santiago Cordova was a modest man, quiet and observant in his ways. He was trustworthy and traditional in his approach to his life and in his relationships. He was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew him. He was also a man who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything he undertook. Realistic about life, he was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Quique was born on August 12, 1942 at Hospital Hermanos Melendez in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. His parents were Don Faustino Santiago y Doña Lola Dolores Cordova. Quique was raised in Bayamón. He was brought up to be self-confident and dependable. These were traits that would serve him well throughout his life.
Hector Enrique Santiago Cordova passed away on May 10, 2016 at Hospital San Pablo. Quique fought a brave battle against cancer. He is survived by his wife Lucy, his daughters Lucy and Myrna, his son Enrique, his brother Anibal y sus nietos. Services were held at his home in Toa Alta. Quique was laid to rest in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico.
