Tio Oscar was the best uncle you could ever wish for the relationship that you would expect out of a movie. He was funny, creative and just so humble. But he was not a guy you would call demure or classy Lol. He was someone you trust. I was his very first niece and certainly was not the last. But I was his “ Gordita “ even when I reached my teenage years he would say “ I don’t care how old you are you will always be my baby with chubby cheeks” Tio and I were always SO SO close since I was little. And to be separated from him it’s like a nightmare coming to life and hitting you in the face. I remember when I told tio I was talking to this guy and he said “ if this guy hurts you ima pull up to his house and beat him up for hurting my gordin “ Tio even when I was little I could not bother being away from you. But now I am forced to be away from you. By heaven and earth. God always said you will see them again. He never said when though. Tio I promise you I will never forget you ever. And I know that I will see you again. We just have to wait a while but I know you’ll watch over me. Te amo tio tu gordita para Siempre - Anelie

When I was going through my divorce my relationship with my cousin started again over facebook. A decade before that he was gracious in showing me around PR and we shared some great memories. I cherish my moments with Oscar and will miss his superior boxing IQ, pissing him off on my reasons why Jordan is no longer the goat and him teaching me the new lingo on the island. Oscar I love you.

Hoy desde la distancia le digo adiós a Oscar uno de mis "parteners in crime". Nuestra amistad era diferente sin lugar a dudas. Espero que cuando Dios lo recibiera en el cielo le enseñará cuanto lo queríamos, lo bueno que era, el vacío que ha dejado en este plano, que llenaba de alegría cada espacio al que llegaba, en fin que nos cambió la vida y tuvo diferentes roles todos importantes en la vida de cada uno de nosotros.
