~Dearest Adrian,

As unbelievable as it may sound, after all these years, I just recently found out the terrible, heartbreaking news of losing you. Upon learning of your passing, I felt so strongly and overwhelmingly compelled to compose my own personal eulogy for you. It was eight years ago today that the world lost you--a charismatic, intelligent, talented, passionate,  understanding, caring soul. I wish I'd never found out about your passing, and am grief-stricken and devastated beyond words. Your bright and shining personality was truly a special gift to all of us who had the great pleasure of knowing you. You were the only person I've ever been with who truly took a genuine interest in me and who I am as an individual. You were also the only person to treat me with nothing but the utmost appreciation and respect, and for that, I'll never forget you. It was around the time that I last saw you that I felt we were really beginning to bond and connect on such an incredibly deep emotional and intellectual level. I remember all the fun little mini-adventures we had together; we didn't have that many, but the ones that we did have were such a blast! And I still remember all the amazingly detailed, interesting, funny and intellectually stimulating conversations we had both in person and via text, and I'm reminded of how very much I've missed talking to you and spending time with you. It breaks my heart knowing you'll never get to see your daughter grow up and that she'll have to go through life without you, but I want her to know just what an amazing, incredible person her father was!

We both shared some similar life struggles and hardships, which is another reason why I felt so emotionally bonded and connected to you. I wish we'd never lost touch and I've missed you long, long before you passed. I never got the chance to tell you just how important and influential you were to me, and I was always afraid to--but I hope that some way, somehow, you finally know now.

Thinking of Adrian on his birthday, today, August 20, 2020 … I had no idea that the first result of an internet search of his name would be his obituary. I’ve been away from Highlands for 22 years. I hope that the years that have transpired since this obituary publication do not diminish my sincerest of condolences. 

I’ve known Adrian since we were at Harlem Elementary School. We lived in the same neighborhood and rode the same [short!] bus to school. Although we went to different middle schools, we occasionally coincided in district-wide orchestra concerts. Our paths crossed again at Sterling High School. He was a significant figure in my childhood and adolescent years … a dear friend. I, for one, will never forget him.

I send out a heartfelt hug to all who knew and miss him. 

Adrian - I loved you so much and I always will. I will never forget you, or our time together. You will always be with me, and I will cherish the memories of you forever. I hope you are at peace now,  no longer fighting your demons. I cannot believe you are gone. My heart is broken.  I will love you forever.

Never forget the days when I would come stay at your parents house (my godmother & godfather) whom I love both very much. Love you.

I offer my condolences for the loss of Adrian. Continue to lean on family and friends for support. God gives us comfort and hope at Isaiah 41:10 when we mourn on occasions like this. May you find the strength to endure the days ahead.

My sincere condolences, prayers for Adrian's entire immediate and extended family. Know he was loved by many and shall always be remembered for his kindness, politeness, ever the gentleman with a great sense of humor. May God Bless you all and share his strength in the celebration of life in memory of Adrian.

May the Lord comfort you all and bring you peace. May God guide you through this sorrowful time and may His merciful love cover you. My heart goes out to all of you. My son, Jeremy, spent many, many times with Adrian. I can't fathom what you are going through. Adrian had a very infectious smile and personality. I just want to say that my family and I send our condolences. Adrian had a heart of gold, one of the many things I liked about him. He accepted people for who they were no matter their flaws. Another thing I respected about him. He will be missed dearly and I can only imagine the heartache you guys feel. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Adrian was such a sweet person when I knew him in HS and the times we crossed paths as adults. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. May you find peace in your heart that only God's love can give at this difficult time. You all will be in my prayers. Adrian, may you rest in peace.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all the Jordan family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helps me. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, ""... power beyond what is normal "", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, ""... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out "". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, ""... the God of all comfort "". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Ps.83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.
