Afton Robert ""Buddy May

Afton Robert “Buddy” May, 79, of Baytown was born November 24, 1938, in Baytown and passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home. Buddy will always be remembered for his kind soul and gentle spirit. His love for Jesus Christ was evident and his church family at St. John Methodist Church was a special part of his life. He loved attending any sporting event, especially when his grandkids were competing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a proud member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Afton and Emma May and is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Melissa May and Benny and Lori May; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Chuck Kutan; brother and sister-in-law, Buzzy and Charlene May; sister, Dovie Lehr, aunts, Peggy Carrell and Patricia Millard; grandchildren and their spouses, Afton May, Rance and Kelsey May, Porter May, Keaton May, Mally May, Parker May, Myles and Ashlee May, Makenzi and Andrew Asp, Crystal and Trevor Smith, Amber and Jared Janak, Ashley Ainsworth, Jacob and Abbey Joines, and Jocelyn Joines; and great grandchildren, Britany Smith, Cagen and Cydni Selensky, Bella Smith, Jett and Jax Janak, and Blake, Bryce, and Charlotte Ainsworth.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, March 15, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, March 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. David Porterfield and Pastor Allen Moorhead officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rance, Porter, and Myles May, Andrew Asp, Cagen Selensky, and Jared Janak. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Smith and Mike Brown.
