Allan was born on March 8, 1950, in Baytown, Texas, to George Cooper, Sr. and Eileen Cooper. He graduated from North Shore Senior High School in 1969. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Barbara Hebert Cooper, and together they built a life in Pasadena, Texas. Their union was blessed with one son, Cyrus Wilkinson Cooper.
Allan is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Barbara Cooper; his son, Cyrus Cooper; and his beloved grandson, Wyatt Cooper. He is also survived by his sisters, Dianne Cooper and Lisa Cooper Guy (husband Gene Guy); his nieces, Natalie Stephens (husband Cary Stephens) and Amy Cooper Alvarado (husband Mario Alvarado); and Jill Orr, along with many cherished great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Cooper, Sr. and Eileen Cooper; his sister, Linda Cooper Binger; and his brother, George Cooper, Jr., with whom he is now reunited.
Allan dedicated over 30 years of service to Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor and was a proud member and president of Local 0293 for many years.
A celebration of Allan’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Fellowship of the Nations Church, 13305 Woodforest Blvd., Houston, Texas. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A committal service will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015.
