Armando Avila, 67, of Crosby, Texas, passed away, on Friday, May 23, 2025, unexpectedly at his residence. He was born on September 20, 1957, in McAllen, Texas, to Ninfa Cavazos Avila and the late Arnulfo Avila. Armando graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, in Baytown, Texas, class of 1977. He made his career as a pipefitter, in the oil and gas industry.
Armando's favorite pastime was watching football and wrestling. He was an outgoing person who loved music, dancing, and spending time with family, yet he also appreciated the comfort of staying home.
Armando was preceded in death by his father Arnulfo Avila; his brothers David and Juan Avila; and his sister-in-law Manuela Lara. He is survived by his mother Ninfa Avila; his siblings Alonzo Avila and wife Paula, Connie Mann, Fernando Avila and wife Yesenia, Daniel Avila and wife Hope, and Elsa Pompa and husband Joe; his half sister Carolina Avila; his numerous nieces and nephews; along with many family members and friends.
