

Beatrice “Bea” Odom, 87, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 in Baytown. She was born May 9, 1924 in Beaumont to her late parents, A. L. Hadley and Mattie Cooley and has lived in Baytown since 1953.
Bea was a retired homebuilder, real estate agent and interior decorator and was a current member of Fisher Road Baptist Church, and former 40 year member of Second Baptist Church Baytown.
Mrs. Odom enjoyed being a homemaker, playing in her 88 and 42 domino’s club, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Thomas Fisher “T.F.” Odom; daughter, Barbara Jean Odom Allen and a brother, Leon Hadley.
Survivors include her son, Glen Odom and his wife Suzanne of Baytown; daughters, Scharlotte Hughes and her husband Sam Hughes of Baytown and Denise Odom and her husband Victor Boiles of League City; half-sister, Bennie Lee Bermea of Galveston; grandchildren, Kellen T. Odom, Thomas J. Hanna, Christina Motway, John T. Hall and his wife Jenny, Renee Burkham and her husband Mike, Yancy Hall and his wife Angela, Chris Stamper and his wife Jessica, Rodney A. Evans and his wife Celeste, Annette Durrett and her husband Charles and Melissa Allen and her husband Stephen; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.
Pallbearers will be Victor Boiles, Thomas J. Hanna, John T. Hall, Yancy Hall, Chris Stamper and Rodney A. Evans.
