Billie Edlene Wilson

Billie Edlene McNutt Wilson, 93 was born August 28, 1927 in Franklin, TX to Eddie Frank and Ida Bell McNutt, she passed peacefully Friday, March 19, 2021 at home in Baytown. She was an extremely loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She went by Edlene, but everyone she knew called her MawMaw.

Edlene was a graduate of Hearne High School in Hearne, TX and Massey Business College in Houston, TX. She grew up and practiced the Baptist faith throughout her life. As a professional, Edlene, was a high level executive assistant for many years. At home, MawMaw was a devoted housewife who loved being home with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved hosting and cooking for her family. In her free time, she loved working in her flower beds and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.

MawMaw was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Robert E Wilson, son, Robert Wilson, parents, Eddie Frank and Ida Bell McNutt, brother, Jack McNutt, sister, Barbara Sawyer. She is survived by her sister Jean and husband, Billy Sanders, son, Gary and wife, Gail Wilson, daughter Karen and husband, Danny Vance, grandchildren Tamara Wilson, Tracy and husband, Craig Luedecke, Sara Wilson, Jennifer and husband, Marc Hanke, Cody and wife, Destiny Wilson, and Chris Vance; great grandchildren, Emily, Ariel, Anabelle, Winnie, Peyton, Chloe, Jonah and Avery. She also had numerous nieces and nephews.

MawMaw’s family would also like to express gratitude to her caregivers for their love and attention. Visitation will be at Navarre Funeral Home on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Wilson, Chris Vance, Marc Hanke, Bobby Andrews, Craig Luedecke and Kenny Wilson.
