Brenda Diane Saunders

Brenda Diane Saunders passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 74, following a battle with dementia. She was a magnificent daughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend.

Diane was born on November 19, 1951, to Gilbert Calvin Sartor and Doris Sartor. She lived her entire life in Baytown, Texas, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and love. She was a devoted wife, a mother of three, and “Nonni” to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Diane was a lifetime member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, where she also served as a secretary for a number of years. Her faith was central to her life, and she truly embraced the love of Christ. As “Nonni,” she was the most loving and devoted mother and grandmother any child or grandchild could hope for. Those who were touched by her love strive to be as warm, welcoming, and kind as she was.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Saunders; her brother, David Sartor; her sister-in-law, Joan Saunders; and her son-in-law, Chris Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Lauri Martin of Anahuac, Texas, and Brooke Oliphant and husband Chip of Baytown, Texas; and her son, Ryan Saunders and wife Nina of the Netherlands. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Krysta Watson, Jason Martin, Sebastian Saunders, Griffin Saunders, Dax Oliphant, and Dane Oliphant; and her great-grandchildren, Riley and Lainey Watson, and Crew Martin. She is further survived by her brother, Danny Sartor of Dayton, Texas; her sister-in-law, Anne Freeman of Houston, Texas; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on February 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, located at 3116 N Alexander Dr, Baytown, TX, 77520.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A graveside service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX, 77521.
