Claude “Bryan” Hatten, Jr. went to be with his Lord and savior in the early morning hours of 6/12/22 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Bryan brightened the life of his parents, Bryan Hatten, Sr. and Patsy Turner Scott, when he entered this world on 8/7/1964 in Pasadena, Tx. He was 57 years young.
Bryan was a loving husband, father and PaPa. His kids and grandkids were his world, and he would do anything possible for anyone of them.
He met his best friend and love of his life, Angela Mitcham Hatten, in the Spring of ’84, and they were married on 6/14/1989. They shared three beautiful children together and watched them grow into three amazing adults and parents.
Bryan spent these last few years watching his wonderful family grow bigger and bigger while adding a son-in-law, two daughter-in-laws, and six amazing grandkids. From being the “candy man” to building forts under the trampoline, he was always at his best seeing his grandkids smile and hearing their laughter as they ran and played at Granny and PaPa’s house.
He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother Bryan and Doretha Hatten, stepfather Dallas Scott, paternal grandparents Claudell and Lois Hatten, maternal grandparents Hazel Hay and Luis Turner.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years Angela Hatten, three wonderful children and their spouses, daughter Stephanie and Josh Hathcox, son Brandon and Cailun Hatten, and son Chris and Izamar Hatten. His mother Patsy Scott, mother-in-law Katie Mitcham, one brother Brad and Laura Hatten, two brother-in-laws Buddy and Kacee Mitcham and Paul and Laura Mitcham along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. His most cherished survivors are his grandkids whom he loved so much and enjoyed spending every possible minute with: Austin Pearson, Connor Hatten, Bentley Cook, Matteo Hatten, Kennedy Hatten and Jeremiah Hathcox.
Bryan will be missed by all who love him. His family would like to thank all the family, friends, doctors and care givers that have walked through these last few months with us. We are forever grateful.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Navarre Funeral Home.
