“Mawmaw”
Carmen Boudreaux Vail was born on February 26, 1934 in Belle Rose, Louisiana to Aurelie Becnel Boudreaux and Philibert Boudreaux. She danced her way to heaven with Jesus on October 27, 2019 with family at her side.
Carmen moved to Baytown with her husband, Emmanuel Vail in 1958, where she worked at The Tower and Pitt Grill and later ran U-Pick-Em Charters for 22 years.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Emmanuel Vail; daughter, Judy McNab Mathews; grandchildren, B.J. Speegle, Monica Goff and great-granddaughter; Erica Nicole Diaz; siblings, Marion Fields, Lucien Boudreaux and Phyllis Millar.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Clemons (Roger), Ronnie Vail (Lynette); special companion, Herman Tidwell, 6 grandchildren, Alicia Mathews Diaz, Tiffany Mathews, Holli Beth Mathews and Cacey Brooks (Will), Seth Traywick and Brooke Richard; 13 great-grandchildren; Amanda Kay (Justin), Ben Diaz, Jr., Eric Diaz, Michael Mathews, Justin Mathews, Caleb Lafour, Cheyenne Jackman (Tyler), Larissa Speegle, Matthew Brooks, Heather Goff, Hannah Goff and Sarah Goff; 3 great-great grandchildren, , Jordan Ortiz, Kinsley Kay and Seth Jackman; special friends, Delores Antonini, Ethel Simpson, Melva White, Veronica Servance and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Carmen loved cooking, gambling, bingo and dancing. She was one of kind and will be dearly missed. She also loved the first Wednesday of the month going to meet ladies at St. John Catholic Church where she was a member.
