Charles Lawson Fulton passed away Friday March 7, 2025 at the age of 90. Charlie was born in Pelly, Texas on January 26, 1935. He grew up on Dallas Street in Goose Creek, which was later annexed by Baytown. Known to most as “Good ole Charlie,” he was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, beloved spouse and faithful friend. Charlie brought joy to all he met and was always there to extend a hand and a smile. He touched many with his warmth, generosity and friendship.
Charlie was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1952. In his youthful days he loved riding motorcycles and hot rod cars. Charlie was an avid pilot until a mishap in Georgia then he bought an RV and traveled by land. After retiring from Brown & Root, he built his and Earline’s dream home which was a Victorian Style home in Baytown. Charlie was a life-long member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and later, Fisher Baptist church. He was a member and Grand Master of Goose Creek Masonic Lodge #1192.
He is preceded in death by Gertrude and Johnnie Fulton, his parents; his beloved wife Earline Loftin Fulton; sister Janelle Goodall and brothers James, Bobby and William Fulton. He is survived by his children, Michelle Price, Kenny Fulton, Troy and Kristie Matysiak, Suzanne and Lynn Hartmann; grandchildren, Patrick and Shelby Price, Taylor and Blake Barger, Chase and Kati Matysiak, Logan Matysiak, Jacob and Peyton Hartmann and Jordan Hartmann; and great-grandchildren, Luke Price, Kingston Smith, Richlynn Smith, Boston Barger, Kyson Matysiak and Hayden Matysiak.
Services will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
