Daniel Bobby Blanchard was born on June 19, 1974 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, TX. He fought strong for 7 years with epithelioid peritoneal mesothelioma.
Throughout his life, Daniel was a very generous person who loved helping others. He always reached out when he saw a need, whatever that need was and no matter how big or small. Even throughout his cancer battle, Daniel visited and sat with others during their treatments and procedures.
After his diagnosis, Daniel became an avid runner. Within the last three years, Daniel completed 5 full marathons, 15+ half marathons, and numerous smaller races all while enduring chemo. He became an inspiration for others to lace up their running shoes and join him.
Daniel is survived by his parents Edward and Maria Blanchard; girlfriend Cynthia Clevenger; brother Joseph Blanchard; sister Irene Blanchard-Garcia and brother-in-law Michael Garcia; nieces Emily and Monika Garcia; cousin Raymond Blanchard and his wife Rachel and their three children; his aunt and uncle Richard and Theresa Blanchard; along with numerous extended family, friends and work colleagues.
Daniel is an inspiration to all who knew him. While we miss his smile and his warm hugs, we know we will carry on his motto to “Live life forward” and will always remember to be “Daniel strong.”
