I only knew you since you went to France to work on Notre Soleil but very quickly, we sew a friendship bond being as strong as if we knew each other for years. I'm so sorry to have been so far and not able to help you.

What a ride you had. We noticed each other at club some. we talked the next day when you called my house. how you got my number you, never told.
we were just coming into our manhood. i made lamps, you worked maintenance at bellaire general hospital. we hit it off from the start. you joined and played on the softball team that i managed. you attended my nieces baptism . the sunday after 9/11. remember how the church members parted like the red sea when you me and a few close friends arrived at the church. they thought we were the FBI. my grandfather would say,'no. immigration.'
as the years past by our visits were fewer but when we saw each other we would pick up where we left off. boy will we have alot to talk about the next time we meet. i look forward to our next encounter, old friend,. you have the grey, i'm still waiting for mine

Daniel, your energy, enthusiasm and positive outlook was always an inspiration. Your work with the children at the cancer hospital in Lyon was an example of your dedication. Daniel, you were a true friend and I will miss you dearly. When we first met, you were working a full day at your job and going to college at night. I was in awe of your ambition and drive. As the years passed and I watched as your accomplishments grew, I was always proud to be your friend. You educated yourself, refined your tastes and honed your artistic talents. I had the privilege of working with Daniel and it became clear to me that he was a very special soul.  His individual view of life and circumstances often had us laughing.  The world is a smaller place without him.  My deepest condolences to Daniel's family.

I only knew Daniel professionally for a little over a year.  I was fortunate enough to have shared time with him on a project and become friends. I feel blessed to have him as a friend and will miss him greatly!

I will miss Daniel. He was a wonderful person and great employee at Navigant. So talented in many ways. My condolences and prayers to the family.

As a consultant you spend a lot of time with folks on the road and they often times become your friends, this was my experience with Daniel.  He was a special person with a big heart and I will miss him.

Daneen & Jimmy, God Bless you in this time of your loss of Danny. So sorry he is gone, but he will rest in the arms of our God. I pray he will rest in peace; so young to go. daniel-kayne had the true spirit, heart, soul and gift of an enlightened man. He will be missed by those whose lives he touched be it all too brief. May you rest in peace with the angels and know you will be in our hearts and thoughts forever.

I worked with Daniel in healthcare consulting and we have kept in touch over the years.  He was full of smiles and jokes and brightened up the workplace.  I was always glad to have our paths cross again and catch up on the ""doin's"" in our lives.  He will be greatly missed, and my heart grieves for his family.  Peace to you, Daniel.  Peace to his family.

Daniel was an exceptionally gifted and passionate soul.  Over the near decade of working together as colleagues in the healthcare industry, I developed great respect for him personally, professionally and artistically.  I don’t believe there are any words I could impart that are more appropriate than Daniel’s own.

I have know Daniel since 1992 when we met at Bellaire Hospital.  Years later we became health care consulting colleagues. But more importantly we became good friends.  I am thankful for our times together/laughter/serious conversations and will miss you my friend.    I wish you peace!

Daniel was a dear friend to us and our daughter for over 20 years.  He was a strong personal and spiritual force in our family....
Our personal pieces of his art will live in our hearts forever.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Daniel's passing.  Daniel worked with Sentara Healthcare in VA.  He was part of our team won our hearts.  He wore his tie over his shoulder, preferred one chair which he always rolled around to meetings.  We teased him and laughed with him.  He spoke often about how much he loved his family.  He really liked being called Uncle Danny by the children in the family.  He showed us pictures and shared stories.  His family was never far from his mind.   We will not forget him and will miss his laughter.   May his family find comfort in knowing how much we enjoyed out time with Daniel.   Nancy Grunewald
