
David J. Marquez, 60, of Baytown, TX was born April 4, 1944 in El Paso and passed away Monday, January 31, 2005 in a Baytown hospital. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Ysleta.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Marquez and son, Ben Marquez and is survived by his wife, Mary Marquez of Baytown; daughter, Corinna Marquez-Burns of Baytown; sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. John D. Marquez and wife Lilia Herrera and Dan Marquez, all of Baytown; mother, Indalecia Marquez of El Paso; sister, Jeannie Meraz of El Paso; brothers, Dr. J. A. Tony Marquez, Dr. Ricardo Marquez, and Carlos Marquez, all of El Paso; and grandchildren, Demi Burns, Mark “Blu” Burns, and Maricarmen Marquez.
Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, brothers, grandson, and nephew.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
