

David ""Cowboy"" Sloane, 63, of Highlands passed away Friday May 2, 2008 at his home. Mr. Sloane was preceded in death by his parents Louis Dixon and Ima Simmons Sloane; son, Melvin Kenneth Sloane and a brother Melvin D. Sloane. Cowboy was born October 7, 1944 in Cleveland. He was an electrician for Turner
Industries and worked inside Polly One and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Irene Perme- Sloane; son and daughter-in law, James Louis and Deborah Sloane of Dayton; sisters and brother-in-laws, Jeanette and Frank Lambeth of Sego, Betty Lou and Horace Bell of Cleveland, Pat and Leon Tullos of Danbury; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Gail Sloane of Humble; mother of his children, Frances Disotell of Rye; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland, TX.
