David John Wagner

David John Wagner, 72, of Baytown was born February 1, 1945, in Pelly and passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at his home. He was a 1964 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Hilltop Lakes. He retired from the Celanese Corporation in 1999 and was an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Martha Wagner; sister, Mary Allen; and nephew, Steve Whitaker. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Wagner of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, David ""Tigger"" and Lezli Wagner of Mont Belvieu; sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia Broussard of Baytown and Veronica and Bert Allen of Ore City; and grandchildren, Conner and Kenede Wagner.

A rosary will be recited at Navarre Funeral Home Friday at 5:00 p.m. and his family will continue to receive friends afterwards until 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 800 W. Baker Rd., Baytown, TX 77521, with Rev. Terence P. Brinkman officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
