

Donald Owen ""Donnie"" Settle, 81, of Baytown was born November 8, 1931 in Cedar Bayou, TX and passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. He was a graduate of Cedar Bayou High School and was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and the Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge #321. He retired from Exxon Refinery where he was a member of the fire team. He was the captain of the Blue team and filled in as fire chief on various occasions. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lovdie Settle; brother, Johnny Carrol ""Soup"" Settle; and sister, Louise Smith. He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Evelyn Settle, son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Vicki Settle, and daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Ronnie Boswell, all of Baytown; sister, Wanda Faye Renfro of New Caney; grandchildren and their spouses, Deana and Jim Hebert, Joe Barnes, Tara and Joseph Cox, and Winter Boswell; and great grandchildren, Devin Hebert, Bianca Lozano, Joe Barnes, Owen Barnes, and Joey Lynn Cox.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery, 2850 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Scott, Sonny Greenhaw, Jim Hebert, Winter Boswell, Joe Barnes, and Don Ray.
