Dora Jane Tickner

Dottie served as Director of the Baytown Cerebral Palsy Center and the American Red Cross in Baytown. She was also active in the garden club, the ladies golf association, the Baytown Planning Commission, the Country Club Civic Association, and Trinity Episcopal Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, traveling with her family, and was an avid reader. She was an active member of the Lodge at Pine Creek and enjoyed all the programs and activities offered. She was well loved by everyone and was always positive with her outlook on life. She looked forward to her weekly dinners with her lifetime friends and her breakfast and lunch dates with Sarah and her great grandsons. Her motto was never let an opportunity pass and never turn down an invitation!!

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her son Richard, and her granddaughter Colette.

She is survived by her son Randy Tickner and his wife Sue, and her daughter Rebecca Sanders and her husband John. Also survived by her grandchildren Izaak Tickner, Ashlee Fuller and her husband Chad, Kyle Tickner, and Sarah Finley and her husband Colton. Her great grandchildren were Jarrett and Bryan Conner, and Easton and Weston Finley.

We will have a celebration of her life Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 3-6 pm. It will be held at the Lodge at Pine Creek, 825 Hunt Rd., Building 1, Baytown, TX 77521. Please bring your stories and enjoy snacks and wine time with us. As Dottie would say, no party is complete without wine!!
