Doris Blake of Baytown, TX passed away on November 12, 2009 at the age of 78. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a former teacher for Liberty I.S.D. and a substitute for Baytown I.S.D. She was an artiste, avid reader, and a true fan of all cinema. She assisted with the Shriners’ cooking events and with Bill Blake’s Cooking Team.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Glen Blake and her mother Jewel Price. She is survived by her two sons, Charlie and wife Karen Blake of Spring, TX; Glenn and wife Karen Blake of Baltimore, MD.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. Graveside services to follow at Stacey Cemetery in Devers, TX.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family wishes that book donations be made to Baytown Public Library or Lee College Library.
