

Dorothy Grace “Dot” Denton, 85, of Baytown went to be with her Lord Wednesday, February 23, 2005. She was born December 1, 1919 in Crawford, Texas to Sam and Kenny Naler. At ten years of age she moved to Houston where she graduated from San Jacinto High School. Soon after graduation, she met and married the love of her life, Franklin Denton. During WWII, she proudly worked the tank farm at Shell Refinery. After the war, they relocated to Baytown where Frank began his many years at Humble Oil and Dorothy at Sears and Roebuck. After retiring to Seguin on the Guadalupe River, she had many years of fishing, hosting Super Bowl Parties, cooking for all the friends and neighbors on the river, entertaining friends, and loving her grandchildren and family. Poor health returned them to Baytown several years ago. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Aubrey Denton; son-in-law, Robert Koepke; and sister, Winnie Rutter.
She is survived by two daughters, Pattie Koepke, and Linda Enderli and husband Richard all of Baytown; grandchildren, Terri Clark and husband David of Baytown, Craig Koepke and wife Jennifer of Warrensburg, MO, Curtis Koepke and wife Dawn of Baytown, Anna Pokluda and husband Mike of Baytown, Casey Enderli of Baytown; great grandchildren, Aimee, Leslie, and Katie Koepke, Cade Clark, Kelsie and Brett Koepke, Parker Pokluda, and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Tommy Clements. A private gathering for the family will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
